(a) No employee of the Office of the State Election Commissioner shall directly or indirectly use or seek to use that employee’s own authority or official influence to control or modify the political action of another person or at any time actively participate in any political activities or campaigns. (b) Any person who shall violate this section shall be fined not more than $500 and shall forfeit that employee’s position or employment.
