Sec. 236c.
(1) A person who violates section 236a or 236b is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by
imprisonment for not more than 93 days or a fine of not more than $500.00, or both.
(2) A person who has been convicted of violating section 236a or 236b and subsequently
violates either of those sections is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for
not more than 1 year or a fine of not more than $1,000.00, or both. In addition, the
instrumentalities of the crime are subject to forfeiture in the same manner as provided in part
